I have three of these Camelia reticulatas. The flowers are 4-5 inches across. I have gotten camellia seeds from them but so far have been unsuccessful at propagating them.

I have three of these Camelia reticulatas. The flowers are 4-5 inches across. I have gotten camellia seeds from them but so far have been unsuccessful at propagating them.
Try leaving thee seeds in the pods and refrigerating over the winter in the vegetable drawer of your friig. When they split and the first roots emerge you can pot them up, still in the pods. Keep away from squirrels as they love to eat them!

These camellias are reticulatas.
Retina are the biggest camellias. Mostly in Seattle we have Japonicas.
4-5 inch blossoms – amazing – and such a lovely composition
