West juxtaposed with East; my habitat on both sides of the Cascades

Barbara Feasey 🌿

I wanted to represent the juxtaposition of my “habitat” during the pandemic. The peonies are from my Seattle garden and the bright green lichen and broken branches were found on a forest hike in the Methow. The design wasn’t quite complete when I began to try to photograph it, but this picture turned out to be the best of the lot, so I’m submitting it.I had great difficulty photographing all the practice designs I created and then discarded. I would love for a few of our talented photographers to provide instructions for floral designers in how to photograph a design to get the colors and multi dimensional depth necessary to showcase the design.

It has a lovely, antique look and the design is elegant yet casual. I love it, Edie
