A message from Suzette:

Hello fellow SGC members!  Since every flower show has been cancelled across the U.S., and SGC has also cancelled its Annual Luncheon meeting, plans are in the works for a virtual flower show, “2020 Visions Amidst the Virus” – sharing photos on our SGC web site in each of our disciplines:  Floral Design, Horticulture, Photography and Conservation.  Details are being ironed out but keep yourselves aware of your surroundings and take photos (any kind of camera or phone) of things that relate to any or all of our disciplines:  A favorite photograph relating to the art of photography on any subject; a floral design/bouquet you have recently created; a hort specimen, planter combination, landscaping feature, favorite plant; or a scene representative of conservation and our environment. No printed material.  No judges – just all of us sharing and exchanging our visions of our surroundings during this difficult time on subjects we all love.  Photos will be accepted until June 4th, the date originally scheduled for our Annual Luncheon.  I will communicate details and the process for photo submissions as soon as possible.  Hoping you are all staying safe and healthy!
