- “About the flowers: Edge of Revelation is my latest project. Flowers and plants have always been an important part of my life and the opportunity to integrate this passion into my photography has been incredibly rewarding. It took months to learn about the ice, discover which flowers will freeze and which ones won’t, and then begin to incorporate my knowledge of composition to create compelling arrangements. Just this spring I’ve been experimenting with triptychs and panels. Rhythm, color, and lighting all come together to express the joy that flowers give us. I’m excited to share my journey with you.” Keron Psillas Website select here

Resources Recommended by Michele Burton:
- I really like this video from Sam Abell and The Atlantic. Sam is one of National Geographic’s most renowned photographers. A concept he teaches is the idea that every photograph he makes is a planned photograph, designed and composed in his mind before he shoots. This video details his quest for the perfect bison photo for his essay on Charles M. Russell. The video captures Sam’s quest for perfection and his infectious spirit.https://vimeo.com/103951417
- Nikon and Canon both offer extensive how to/ equipment / technique articles and videos on their websites. Even if you aren’t a user of the brand, it can be helpful to understand things like light, white balance, metering and exposure compensation. They both break their articles down by interest and experience level.https://www.nikonusa.com/en/learn-and-explore/index.page

For inspiration:
https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/explore/explorers-of-light - I have never explored Sony’s Education portal, but I see they have one similar to what Canon and Nikon have…
https://alphauniverse.com/ - B&H Has an education arm called Explora. If you are looking for information on specific types of equipment and how to use them, this can be a good starting point.
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/ - In Books, I still think that Bryan Peterson is one of the best authors around for useful general photography information. His books Understanding Exposure and Learning to See Creatively are two classics. SPL has a number of his books as electronic resources.
